Band of Horses research


They are an American band formed in 2004 in Seattle. The band currently has five members, they are Ben Bridwell, Ryan Monroe, Tyler Ramsey, Bill Reynolds and Creighton Barrett. The band recorded their first album in 2005, and it was released by Sub Pop, on March 21, 2006, Sub Pop is a major record label.

The band's first single was The Funeral, the song has been used in television series, films, Playstation games, Xbox games and advertisements.

In 2008 Band of Horses played at many well known and popular festivals, including, Glastonbury Festival, T in the park, Bridge School Benefit and Roskilde Festival.

On April 20th, the band appeared on "Later... with Jools Holland" promoting Infinite Arms by playing new songs "Compliments" and "Factory", after this appearance on Jools Holland the bands two earlier albums entered the UK Top 200 for the first time. An outtake from the album, "Life on Earth" has been used on the soundtrack of the Twilight Saga film Eclipse, released on June 7, 2010.
